McMaster Health Forum
An online training course for physicians wishing to improve their knowledge and develop core competencies in methadone prescribing for pain management in palliative care. Accredited by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Royal College. The course was developed by Canadian Virtual Hospice and leading Canadian palliative pain management specialists, in collaboration with the Canadian Society of Palliative Care Physicians, The College of Family Physicians of Canada, Pallium Canada and de Souza Institute, with funding by the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer. This course will also be of interest to nurses and pharmacists who wish to improve their knowledge of methadone.
The McMaster Health Forum, a leading hub for improving health outcomes through collective problem solving, has convened two stakeholder dialogues focused on chronic pain and the need for the health care system to better support how it is managed.
